I am currently working on this piece. Inspired by my continued fascination with stars, planets, and galaxies. I will post any new changes made while painting. This is a star exploding. It's in a ball shape. The center is opening up to show what was hidden inside.

Hourglass Ring Nebula Interpretation
Beginning
Finished
This is my interpretation of the Hourglass Nebula. Mixed media - knife, water color, and mixable oils. The Hourglass Nebula looks like an eye that is surrounded by several red rings. These rings seem like they are on fire.

Spiraling Planet
This is a knife painting with water color and acrylic combined. I have spinning stars in the back ground surrounding the planet. I used jupiter as my planet but I changed it's colors and appearance some.

Twin flames Rework April 2012
BEFORE
This shows two fire balls colliding in space. I wanted to emphasize motion and balance. Also, to convey emotion. This a knife painting using oil and acrylic.
AFTER
I felt the urge to create more details. I added more depth to the fireballs. They could almost be seen as two jelly fish kissing. I put a spiral in the middle of them. This symbolizes the blending of their lights. I made amore pastel like hazy glow in the center. Click on the pictures to get view of the full details.
Army men Rifle
This was a sculpture about using found objects around you. It could be at your home or other places. I saw my son playing with army men. I decided to use them to make a rifle. I glued all the men together to make the actual shape and size of a particular rifle.

Which one is the flower?
Originally these were two separate charcoal studies. When I placed them next to each other, I thought it was interesting. I decided to put them together as companion pieces. The top picture is a flower. The bottom image is a close up of blades on an indoor fan.
